Facial Thread Veins

or genetic reasons. Diathermy is an excellent relatively non-invasive treatment to permanently treat facial thread
veins, milia, blood spots, skin tags and spider naevus. The area to be treated is numbed using a topical cream then the
tip of the finest probe, the size of an eyelash is introduced to the affected area. A tiny energy is discharged
which dries up and destroys the problem vein or capillary. The treated vein is permanently destroyed. It is usual
to need between 1 and 4 treatments to achieve complete resolution.

Leg Veins
are treated using
a technique called "Sclerotherapy." This is a relatively simple non-surgical treatment taking only 30-40 minutes
per session. A very fine needle is used to inject a sclerant solution into the vein which causes it to perish and eventually
disappear. The number of treatment sessions depends on how many areas need to be treated but generally 4 sessions are
required.
